Which Head Tennis Racquet is better for me?
I currently have a Head Liquid Metal 4 Tennis Racquet… But… infortunately… the frame is now cracked… i would like to buy a new racquet (more specifically a Head Brand one) but i don't know what i should use… I would like to try one of Head's Head MicroGel Radical racquets… but there are three different types… there is the Midplus… the Oversize… and the Pro… the Pro got a better rating on one website i was on… but i'm not sure if it's the one for me… (i'm a fourteen year old boy that doesn't like to use a heavy frame… is this racquet heavy?)
if you don't like using heavy frames or you've had issues with tennis elbow or anything like that i wouldn't suggest any of these racquets, particularly not the pro. i would highly suggest looking at www.tenniswarehouse.com and seeing what racquets they have in the "tweener" section. it's really a poorly named group because the frames are usually the most comfortable for people to use. they're usually lighter, more powerful and have more control. if you wanted to continue with head racquets the one i would reccommend checking out is the microgel radical team racquet. it has all the features of the other microgel radicals but is lighter and probably more suited for you. if you really want a racquet out of the three you listed i'd advise you to go with the oversize. anyways good luck and i hope this helps!
Tennis racquets, please help?
i'm deciding to switch to a new racquet. i'm looking for something that still has some power, but more control. i currently use the prince ozone seven. i want to use the PRINCE SPEEDPORT PRO WHITE, or even just the normal o3 WHITE, but i'm not sure yet. i will demo, but later on!! please list as many choices as you can. i also DO NOT like any racquets under 100 sq. inches, or oversize racquets [106 sq. inches+].
my kind of style i'd say..is defensive baseliner. my forehand is consistent, but not my most greatest shot; i love to take rips at my 2 handed backhand [i am a righty]. my serves are consistent, but i'm not concerned with them now. my greatest asset to my game..i'd say is my service return.
i don't really care what the price is. and please don't tell me anything irrelevant–please just answer the question, and thank you times 1,000!!!!!!
yes, i have been searching for a new racquet, for quite some time. i also wanted to mention, that i also want a very forgiving frame as well lol. i will only stick to these brands lol..: prince, wilson, babolat, and yonex. pleease dont mention anything else lol.
The Ozone 7 is the replacement for the o3 Red so if you get the o3 White or SP White, it's going to give you less power and more control. Personally I like the o3 white and always recommend it on Tennis.com. o3's are always arm-friendly racquets.
I also like the Babolat Pure Drive Cortex because it's got a good balance of power and control. It's also highly customisable.
My personal choice is the Babolat Aeropro Drive Cortex. It's much more headlight than the Pure Drive and allows you to have a faster swing to generate more spin. It's also one stable racquet and good for a good returner like yourself…
