If you are looking to improve your game, then walmart is NOT the place to go for a racquet. You have the face the fact that you're at the point where you'll have to spend a little extra on a better frame than that. But don't worry, you don't need to spend over $100 to get a good frame.

You mention that you want more control. Well, here's the deal: frames you find at walmart are made for recreational (i.e. not serious) players. These people don't have developed technique, and need all the help they can get from the racquet. Thus, anything you find at walmart will be very power-oriented, and offer you little to no control.

I would recommend that you go with something considerably heavier and smaller than that, but without getting too demanding for you. I'l suggest that you look at racquets that are at least 10.5 oz, up to about 11 oz. Also, I suggest staying below 105" headsizes. For you probably between 100 and 105". The last thing is to see that it is head-light, or even balanced at the most.

Check out this page for some great deals on great frames:
http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/catpage-liqracs.html

Some I would recommend that you look at from that page:
Head Liquidmetal Radical Midplus
Head Flexpoint FXP Prestige Team
Völkl DNX 8
Prince O3 Hybrid Spectrum (Midplus)
Prince O3 Hybrid Shark (midplus)

These are all under $100. If you can afford to move up to one of these frames, it's definitely worth it. You should be able to just pick any one of those five and be happy with it. These will give you the control you want, and I think you should notice pretty quick improvement in your game, once you are used to the frame. And don't be afraid to order form tenniswarehouse.com. They're a great company, and have pretty fast shipment. And if your order is over $75, shipping is free.

Oh, also make sure you get the right grip size. This page will tell you how to do that:
http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/LC/Gripsize/Gripsize.html

Best of luck to you, and I hope you enjoy your new frame! Keep on playing!

Senior FT-i Squareway Wood with Graphite Shaft

Senior FT-i Squareway Wood with Graphite Shaft

Callaway Golf Senior FT-i Squareway Wood with Graphite Shaft: Squareway Inertial Design positions discretionary weight to the extreme corners of the FT-i Squareway Wood clubhead, raising the MOI for unparalleled resistance to twisting. This provides straighter and more forgiving shots hit over a wide area of the face. Fusion Technology construction combines a stainless steel face, sole and body with a lightweight, carbon composite crown, allowing Callaway Golf engineers to move discretionary weight where it is needed most, resulting in better stability and distance. The club’s oversize head shape allows for a higher MOI to increase forgiveness and stability at impact for better accuracy. VFT Technology maximizes ball speed and perimeter weighting for more distance and forgiveness, while S2H2 increases discretionary weight by removing it from the hosel and repositioning it in the perimeter of the clubhead.

RZ350 Ride through Oatman AZ on Route 66 / Bullhead City / Part 1

A Fun ride up the mountain on my 1984 Kenny Roberts Yamaha RZ350 with a Milled Head, Oversized Pistons, 32MM Carbs, Spec 2 Chambers, Braided Stainless Brake lines, HH Pads and Battle Ax Tires. This is pretty Raw footage from my Panasonic TZ3 Point and shoot camera Duct taped to my helmet, but it captures the feel of a Two Stroke street bike on a really twisty road. This is Part 1, to Sitgreaves Pass at the top. Part 2 is down the far side to Golden Valley. Parts 3&4 are the return trip back to the top, then back down to Oatman. Zoom way in on the google map to see how many turns there are…Hope you enjoy and let me know what you think! Thanks, Dave

PROMO:

"I told everyone when I came out here that I was going to make an impact, and at King of the Ring, that's exactly what I did. Now I'll admit, I may not have won the King of the Ring, but I did the next best thing. I split the title with arguably one of the best to ever step into a YWSE ring, the Clown Prince of Crime. From my perspective, there isn't any shame in that.
But, that now leads me to EXTREME RULES!!! Just from taking a look at the YWSE landscape, Evolution seems to have the deck stacked pretty heavily in their favor. They may have all the belts and they have everything going for them but I came here to take on the best. I CAME TO YWSE TO WIN THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
Backing down from a challenge isn't something I have a history of doing. I don't care if Evolution holds every belt in YWSE and I don't care how many people from that clique want to interfere, but so help me, I DON'T GIVE A DAMN! HE CAN BRING EVERYONE AND HIS MOTHER TO THE RING FOR ALL I CARE, IT WON'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
I can say this to the ENTIRE YSWE community out there, and especially to 13 Times the King of Kings. I'm standing right here. And I'll be standing in the same ring at Extreme Rules. And at the end of Extreme Rules, I'll be standing with the World Heavyweight Championship."
