Most people do that, and it’s pretty much all you need at the head table. Maybe a larger, low centerpiece in the centre, or one on either side.

I did the vases for my wedding, I had 9 bridesmaids too! It looked great! I did big martini glasses too, but I put them on the bars and filled them with matches. I think the flowers should be enough for your head table. I also put votive candles in between them for a little extra! Have Fun!!!!

I think it would be a bit crowded. I was at a linen store the other day and the lady showed us these clips that cliped on the front of the tables to put the bouquets in, I thought those were a really neat idea and they would not be crowding anyone either.

Its too much going on, and the martini glasses are cheesy. Just do the flowers. But if I were you, I would gather several bouquets together per vase/basket to create volume. The bouquets are usually wrapped with ribbon or have wax on the tips -- I would consult with the florist how to do this. They probably have a good idea for you.

Just do the vases. I had them for my wedding and it looked beautiful. Do the martini glasses on the tables or bars.

Instead of vases that can easily tip, check with your florist to see if they rent bouquet holders. These clip to the front of the table and the bouquets go in them to decorate the front of the table, leaving more space on the table itself. We used those and had the florist drape tulle with white lights to off set the table. I had a couple swag arrangements on the table too.
